Carmen B Sanchez stars in Disney’s new music-driven series Electric Bloom, portraying Jade, a rebellious student and member of the popular pop group Electric Bloom. The series chronicles their journey from high school classmates to global music icons, exploring their friendship and rise to fame. Electric Bloom premiered after Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires last week, with two new episodes airing tonight at 8pm ET/PT on Disney Channel. Before the episodes, we spoke with Carmen to learn 10 fun facts about her. Check out what she revealed with us below! 1. I was born in Mexico, but my parents are Cuban, so I have a mix of cultures between Caribbean and Mexican-American. At age 5 I moved to the United States with my family. 2. My favorite food is white rice with plantains, especially the ones my grandmother makes for me, although I can eat canes three times a week, I will never get bored of canes. 3. I love animals, especially dogs! a year ago I lost my childhood dog, Tulina, my best friend, the one who was my with me my whole life, a light cream-colored Chihuahua dog with a stripe on her forehead, she was the sweetest Chihuahua you could have ever met. There is not a day in this world that I don’t remember her, she inspires me. Now I have two French bulldogs and the female is like the reincarnation of Tulina because despite being of different breeds they have the same characteristics, I really don’t understand but it’s like having Tuli back home. 4. I enjoy writing and creating music so much; it comes very easily to me, and I create melodies every second of the day. 5. I have a lot of patience when it comes to teaching; I think I got that gift from my mother. I especially like to inspire beginner children who like to dance. I enjoy so much making students fall in love even more with the art of music and dancing and seeing them grow and have me as an inspiration is truly an incredible feeling. 6. I aspire to learn a little bit of everything in life.. that adrenaline of trying new things even if I’ve never done it before is the best! From skateboarding, to directing, to even learning how to change a tire.. I romanticize every single moment and tried to make the best out of it even if I’m not good at it. 7. I LOVEEE going to concerts with friends or alone, I enjoy them so so much and try to spot every single detail of the show. From choreography to lighting I admire every single thing. 8. I’ve been homeschooled since I was 8 years old. When I started in the industry and tried to return to in person school, it wasn’t the best, so I returned to online school because I took better advantage of my time, to continue developing my career. 9. Learning and posting TikToks is my favorite! From dancing to funny vids and even singing… I enjoy them all so much. 10. I was the lead singer of my father’s band for 4 years until I got into Disney, but whenever I return home I like to do concerts with them, the musicians are like part of my family. 11. In real life, I have many of Jade’s characteristics in Electric Bloom. Our fashion is very similar and also the love we share for music is the same. We believe creating music isn’t a hobby but an escape. With any type of emotion music is the way to escape and wind down. 12. I love challenges, and until I achieve my goal, I don’t rest. Read more
